CALL SCREENING & CUSTOM CALL DIRECTORS


It’s no secret that business is lost because their primary lines are not being answered with live personnel. First and foremost, MedCom exists to make a live telephone attendant available on every call.

We can show you the many benefits that a properly designed Call Director or Call Screen can provide. Although we often associate this option with an endless array of selections for the caller to make, we have expertise in designing and implementing elegant yet simple approaches using this technology. The choice of whether the call director is appropriate to your needs is up to you.

At MedCom, we have many years of experience in designing and implementing procedures to handle your calls. For example, you may have a need for front-end call screening.  This allows the caller to make certain selections on the keypad that can direct the caller to the appropriate operator screen necessary to process or relay their call. For example:

A medical equipment company may desire to have the caller press "1" if he is a patient requiring a medical equipment delivery. If, on the other hand, the caller requires the pharmacist on call, he may be asked to press "2." 

In each case the caller is routed to the proper attendant screen at MedCom so that the call can be handled according to the procedure established by you for each specific situation.

 

Here is another example. A physician typically receives many calls about office hours. A properly scripted call director can answer each call on the first ring, inform the caller whom they have reached, and offer the caller one of three choices. Consider this script for a physician: 

"If you would like to know our office hours, please press one now. If this is an emergency requiring immediate attention, or the physician on call, please press zero for an operator now. If your call is not urgent, and you would like to leave a message for the office, please press two now." 

The benefit of this call screening is that non-essential calls to this particular office will not be billed at the live operator message rate. The economics of these savings can be substantial.
